Work experience

Amazon

Software Development Engineer Intern April 2022 - July 2022

  • Worked on a REST API used by an Amazon Transportation Services internal platform which handles Petabyte data volumes, integrates with a network of transportation services worldwide and drives business decisions impacting millions of customers and billions of dollars a year
  • Improved API availability from 99,14% to 99,9%, by migrating from a Relational Database (Amazon Aurora) to a NoSQL Database (DynamoDB), measured by the shorter API downtime
  • Reduced AWS databases costs by 30%, by designing the new DynamoDB database reducing the number of queries needed to get data
  • Reduced API response time by 20%, by introducing the new DynamoDB database, measured by the shorter response time with DynamoDB
